Capability

Design, Fabrication, Installation,

The client’s Gas Mixing System was designed to be suspended from a tank’s roof. In this instance the tanks were of post tensioned concrete construction which would not support additional load.

Consequently, Watermark designed an independent floor mounted tripod support eliminating any superimposed load on the tank roof. The tripod frame design incorporated folding support legs which allowed the frame to be craned through a restricted opening in the tank roof.

Once lowered into the tank the tripod support legs folded out before being anchored to the tank floor.

The design allowed for the Gas Mixing System to be consolidated onto the support frame and be fully tested before installation eliminating the need for pressure testing in an onsite gas zoned area.
